WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CALL 911?
When you dial 911, a specially trained operator will answer and direct your call to the closest and most appropriate emergency service, available, equipped and manned to best respond. In a matter of seconds, you know that help is on the way.
Your family’s safety is always the priority at the Bethesda Fire Department. Unfortunately, this is a never-ending operation and we again find ourselves in need of your help. In the uncertainty of day-to-day life, especially during the threat of COVID-19, you never know when you will need us. We know when we need you – and the time is now.
Every-day volunteers are the backbone of the emergency ambulance services provided by the Bethesda Fire Department. Thanks to you and your neighbors’ generous support, we have recruited volunteers in the past two years and have been able to provide volunteer emergency ambulance service, for the first time in the history of our department.
We need your help so that we can continue to deliver the very best possible service to you, our neighbors. As a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of people like you for the funds necessary to serve you with the latest equipment and technology; to inform our community of best practices that can prevent fires; to maintain our three fire stations and to develop our growing volunteer programs. COVID-19 has increased our operating expense substantially. More than ever before, we need you, to HELP US, HELP YOU.
Please consider contributing toward our mission. Your generous support allows us to provide our firefighters and emergency medical technicians COVID-19 protection and mitigation supplies, state-of-the-art training, and funds to maintain our facilities and equipment; all, in order to provide you, our neighbors, with critical emergency service.
