Station 20

JUNE 18, 2008: Pictured is F2 Robert “Cooter” Wilkes placing the final touches and placing the new lawn mower and blower at Station #20 in service. Recently the decision was made to upgrade the lawn equipment at Station 20 to commercial grade. Once funds were approved BFD Board member Jim Winkler along with FS#20 Commander, Capt. Redding researched several manufactures and models. Once the items were selected Mr. Winkler worked a deal with the H.B. Duvall equipment company in Frederick, Maryland who sold the equipment at a reduced rate. Capt. Redding went to Frederick and picked up the new lawn equipment and delivered it to Fire Station #20 where a few days later “B” shift got to be the first to try it out.The personnel assigned here to Fire Station #20 would like to say thanks to the Bethesda Fire Board, Mr. Jim Winkler, Pres. Davies, and Admin. Maryann Hamilton for all of their assistance with the purchase of the new items for the station.
Below is a photo of the first page of the first journal from Station 20 first day.
